Presley Packer, B.A.-Intern

Presley is a student intern pursuing her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lincoln Memorial University here in Knoxville. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2022.

Presley has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and adults to become the best version of themselves. She has experience working in the foster care system providing case management to children and adolescents as well as coaching competitive dance at Farragut High School 2019-2021. Presley is passionate about working with her clients to foster their confidence, curiosity, compassion, courage, and connectedness to promote healing. She believes that through connecting with ourselves in a compassionate, curious manner, we can find the courage to live confidently and make strides towards becoming our best self. 

She adopts a person-centered approach and believes that each and every client is capable of initiating self-growth, no matter the age. She believes that healing stems from connection and hopes to build a therapeutic relationship with each client that is empowering and trustworthy. For children ages 3-12, Presley utilizes a non-directive play therapy approach and provides space for the child’s personality to grow and shine in a compassionate, child-centered way. For adolescents and adults, Presley is passionate about building a unique approach best suited for each individual client. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectic Behavioral approaches into her work with clients as well as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework.

In her spare time, Presley enjoys walking with her dog Phoebe, painting, dancing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
