Emily Ellis, LPC/MHSP

Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee. She received her Bachelors of Science from University of Tennessee Knoxville in Recreation Therapy and her Masters of Education degree from University of Tennessee Chattanooga in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has worked in the field of mental health since 2012 in a wide range of mental health services, including experience as a field instructor for a wilderness therapy based program for adolescents, a group therapist at an adult psychiatric hospital, an in home counselor working with at-risk youth and families, and an individual and family therapist for women in a residential treatment setting. Emily joined Knoxville Counseling Services in March of 2019.

Emily’s style focuses on developing a relationship with her clients by being energetic, kind, and direct. She has received specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavior Therapy), Hypnosis for reprocessing trauma, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and personality disorders.
