Dr. Eric Manley, PhD., LP
Eric is a Licensed Psychologist with 20 years of experience in the field. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in English. He went on to the University of Montevallo to receive his Master’s in Education in Counseling and Guidance. Eric graduated in 2005 with a PhD. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Memphis. He has worked in numerous settings before engaging in private practice including college and university counseling centers, nursing homes, veteran’s groups and military bases. Eric works with individual adults and couples as well as providing supervision to psychologist in training.
Eric was trained as a generalist and can meet the needs of a wide variety of clients. His specialties include working with issues such as depression, anxiety, adjustment, stress, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, PTSD and trauma, LGBTQIA issues, elder concerns and multicultural counseling. Eric also has extensive experience working with veterans providing therapy for trauma and readjustment counseling.
Eric has an easygoing style which creates a safe and trustworthy atmosphere allowing people to open up freely about their concerns. He believes that a solid therapeutic relationship is essential and will work to establish a strong connection. He makes use of evidenced based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectial Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition, Eric is trained in EMDR and Prolonged Exposure (PE) to treat trauma and PTSD.
Eric is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. He is also available on Friday mornings. Please contact him for specific hours available.
$100 to $150 an hour.
Supervision services for $70 an hour.
In certain cases, Eric will provide services based on a sliding scale.
