Amy Bell, LPC/MHSP-A
Amy is a pre-licensed mental health counselor who was awarded her Master of Science in Counseling from Louisiana State University Shreveport. She has also received a Master of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
Amy believes the most important part of therapy is giving clients the space to feel seen, heard, and understood. She primarily works with older teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, and traumatic experiences. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person's unique needs. While she uses strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy, she is best described as person-centered, preferring to take a holistic approach to each challenge and to stay attuned to what matters most to the client.
Amy’s most defining traits are her curiosity and thoughtfulness, which she uses to help her clients gain a greater awareness of themselves, their situations, and their world.
Outside of work, she likes to visit Zoo Knoxville, drive through the mountains, try new restaurants, and take on various creative projects.
