Knoxville Counseling Services, PLLC is a growing group practice and we are often seeking professional counselors, social workers, marital and family therapists, and psychologists to join our group! Qualified candidates will possess a conferred PhD, PsyD, MSW, MA, or MS, be fully licensed in the state of Tennessee, and able to practice independently. Licensure includes LPC/MHSP, LMFT, LCSW, PhD, or PsyD. This is a part-time or full-time position. Due to the nature of our work and group structure, no interns or pre-licensed applicants will be considered. If you have an LPC licensure, it must contain the MHSP designation.
In order to continue to promote accessible care for our clients, candidates will need to be eligible to contract with UHC/BCBS insurances. We look for highly motivated, self-starters who are interested in solo private practice but want the support of a group setting. Each therapist at Knoxville Counseling Services has the autonomy to set hours, fee structures, credentialing with insurance panels, and choose their client populations.
We are looking for individuals who want to work with children, adolescents, and/or adults for individual therapy as well as couples counselors. We have a need for therapists working with young children, adolescents, couples, and evening/weekend hours for adult professionals and school-aged kids. There is availability for part-time or full-time potential as you build your case load.
Required Qualifications:
* Fully licensed (LPC/MHSP, LCSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD) in Tennessee and in good standing with the Board
* Experience counseling children, adolescents and adults
* A positive philosophy of care
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Credentialing with insurance panels (KCS will pay for contracting with Optum and BCBS insurances if you are not already independently contracted)

Part-time Office Manager/Biller
Knoxville Counseling Services, PLLC is a group of mental health therapists in Knoxville, TN. Due to recent growth we are looking to add a part time medical billing/office manager to our team. This is a mostly remote position and can be done from anywhere, but may require coming into one of our three offices on occasion monthly/bimonthly as needed. This position is part-time and will require approximately 25 hours/week. Ability to answer phone calls and emails M-F, 9a-2p EST is necessary for this position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Prepares and maintains patient billing files.
-Responsible for taking and processing of referrals including scheduling for our nurse practitioner.
-Calls insurance payers to confirm benefits prior to appointments
-Reviews and edits claims prior to billing to ensure accurate and clean claim submission.
-Meets all billing and accounts receivable deadlines
-Documents all accounts receivable follow-up and maintains patient billing file.
-Reviews and edits claims in claims correction section of on-line system to ensure on-going processing for payment via direct data entry, daily.
-Office management duties as needed such as keeping up with supplies and daily operations of each location (approximately 1x/month).
-Must have your own computer to use for remote work.
Qualifications:
-High school graduate or the equivalent
-Training in medical billing and coding
Knowledge:
-Requires knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards.

-Requires knowledge of revenue cycle management

Knoxville Counseling Services is an internship site for the University of Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial University. At this time we are only accepting candidates from local universities and are not able to offer internship placements for candidates attending online masters degree programs.
