Matt Drinnen, LPC/MHSP

Matt is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been in practice since 2006. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2000 and a Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University in 2007.  Matt has 20 years of experience working in the mental health field in a variety of settings including community mental health, residential facilities, case management, and Private Practice since 2011. He is a member of Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor’s Association.

Matt enjoys working with individuals, families, and couples of all ages and is a firm believer in building a strong therapeutic relationship to achieve positive outcomes for the clients he serves.  He utilizes a variety of counseling approaches rooted in Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy theories.   

In children and adolescents, Matt’s focus is primarily on anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, mood disorders, trauma, learning disabilities, adjustment disorders, and grief and loss issues. In adults, he specializes in relationship issues, couples work, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, men’s issues, addiction, and grief and loss issues.

Matt is available Monday through Friday.  Please contact him for specific hours available.
